After the Shoot
Making Your Selections
Within 2-3 business days following the shoot, you will receive a link to a password-protected online proofing gallery from which to choose your finals. You can share the link and password with friends, agents, and managers – anyone you would like to help you make the selection.
I strongly recommend taking your time in making the decision. I’ve often heard clients tell me that it can be hard to choose. That is a good problem to have. The proofing gallery will facilitate narrowing down the number of images in stages. Once you are close to choosing the finals, I’d recommend not looking at your proofs for a couple of days and revisit the selection, giving yourself the opportunity to see them with fresh eyes. Then choose your finals. The gallery will remain online for 60 days after it is posted and can be extended if necessary.
Once you have made your selection of final images, notify me and I will retouch them. I do the file processing and retouching myself, and that work is done in the context of our discussion of your type and goals plus the conversation that occurs during the shoot itself. During the pre-shoot consultation and the shoot itself, we will talk about what can be reasonably retouched and what can’t, so you will have a very clear idea of what to expect.
After the retouching is complete, I’ll send you previews for approval. Once approved, you’ll receive the full sized finals via email, ready for printing.
